How to Reset Skoda TPMS Light

If your Skoda tyre pressure warning light has come on, you must first check all tyres are at the correct pressure before attempting a reset. Driving on under-inflated tyres is dangerous and can damage your vehicle.

Reset Type: Physical Button

Most Skoda models use a dedicated reset button to calibrate the sensors.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1

Inflate all tyres to correct pressures.

2

Turn on the ignition.

3

Press and hold the 'SET' button (usually located near the gear lever or in the glove compartment).

4

Hold until a chime sounds or the TPMS icon flashes on the dashboard.

5

Release the button; the system is now recalibrating.

Success! The light should now be cleared. If it stays on or flashes, you may have a faulty sensor or a puncture.

Need a TPMS Tool for your Skoda?

If the manual reset doesn't work, you may need a TPMS scanner to diagnose a faulty sensor or link new sensors to your vehicle.

Still seeing the warning light?

If you've followed these steps and the light remains on, it could indicate:

  • A slow puncture: One tyre is losing air faster than the others can recalibrate.
  • Dead TPMS battery: Sensors usually last 5-7 years. If your car is older, the battery might be dead.
  • Interference: Some aftermarket electronics or chargers can interfere with wireless TPMS signals.
